With the 3CX
smartphone app for Android, you can seamlessly communicate with your office
anytime, anywhere. Access the corporate phone book, make calls, respond to
incoming customer messages and more - all in the palm of your hand. You no
longer need to use your personal mobile phone plan to make business calls.
Setup your extension
1. If you haven't
already, install the app from the Google Play Store.
2. Allow 3CX to access the camera so you can
provide your extension via QR code.
3. Scan the QR from your welcome email, web
client, or desktop app and test calling the "Echo Service" so you can
grant the app the necessary permissions. Authorize, make a call, and you're
done!
Place a call with the 3CX Android App
Making calls with
the Android app is quick and easy. In Contacts, search for a name, number, or
email address, click the phone icon next to a contact, and voila. You are now
using your office phone system from your smartphone.
Once you answer the call, you can seamlessly
take a range of actions, including:
1. "Transfer" gives you the option to "Blind" without
speaking to the recipient, or "Attended" to transfer the call after
talking to the recipient first to see if they accept the call, then press
"Join."
2. Using Conferencing, you can create an ad hoc conference
call and add more participants to join the conversation.
3. With "Rec"
you can record your conversations.
4. "Video" adds video to your calls
for face-to-face communication.
